It’s that time of the year again, vintage is over, the vines have gone to sleep in the frosty ground and we’re about to launch our new season GUNDOG ESTATE wines.
This year’s release includes the GUNDOG ESTATE 2011 Rosé, up to its usual delicious standard, our Canberra Region flagship wine, the GUNDOG ESTATE 2009 Shiraz, now a year older and carrying a bag of Wine Show awards, and another year of the beautiful dry-white Semillon that we make with grapes from our Hunter Valley vineyard: the GUNDOG 2011 Hunter’s Semillon. We will also be introducing the first bottling of GUNDOG 2011 Semi-Sweet Semillon, a new creation from Winemaker Matt Burton that is already starting to create a stir amongst wine writers.
You’re invited to come along to the launch and have a swill, sniff and spit of our new range of red, white and pink wines.
Matt, who carries the mantle of 2010 Hunter Valley Rising Star Winemaker of the Year, will drop in from the stratosphere to introduce and chat about the new wines.

This is the best bit. This is a free event for all the Illawarra friends of GUNDOG, and their mates, who might be interested in coming along and trying the wines.
Caveau Chef Peter Shepherd will be providing delicious snacks during the afternoon, many matched specifically to the Shiraz, Rosé and Semillon wines.
We’d love to see you at Caveau Restaurant on Saturday June 11 for a few hours of fun and fine food and wine tasting. And please bring along friends and aunties.
